# Licensing

> AGPL-3.0 for the platform, MIT for the SDK and CLI, and a commercial licence for different terms.

The [overmind-core/overmind](https://github.com/overmind-core/overmind) repository ships under two open-source licences. A commercial licence is a paid alternative from Overmind Ltd.

Customer applications that `pip install overmind` (or import it) stay under their own licence. The MIT package does not pull the platform's AGPL into your agent.

## Self-hosting

[Run the platform yourself](/platform/self-hosting) under AGPL-3.0. An unmodified copy on your own network complies. A modified copy offered as a network service must make that modified source available to its users.

## Commercial licence
